Message from the Dean of the Faculty of Human Medicine
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah.
I am pleased to welcome you to the website of the Faculty of Human Medicine. We take great pride in this academic institution’s scientific and national role in preparing physicians and building medical competencies capable of serving society and advancing the healthcare system.
The Faculty of Human Medicine seeks, through a clear vision and a specific mission, to provide distinguished medical education based on solid scientific foundations and accredited academic standards, keeping pace with modern developments in medical sciences and scientific research. We are also committed to instilling professional values and medical ethics in our students to ensure the graduation of competent, responsible, and compassionate physicians in their interactions with patients and the community.
The Faculty works continuously to develop its educational programs, modernize its curricula, enhance scientific research, and encourage faculty members and students toward creativity and innovation. This is done in full compliance with the regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the standards of the National Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Educational and Training Institutions.

Description
- The Department of Medical Sciences served as the initial nucleus for medical education under the "University of Departments" in Gharyan, established by Decree No. (15) of 1999. Following this, Decree No. (219) of 2000 and Decree No. (351) of 2003 were issued, officially transforming the institution into the Faculty of Human Medicine at Al-Jabal Al-Gharbi University. Subsequently, Decree No. (19) of 2017 was issued, establishing its current identity as the Faculty of Human Medicine / University of Gharyan.
- Milestones: The academic year 2006–2007 witnessed the graduation of the first cohort, consisting of 28 graduates.
Degrees Offered: The Faculty grants its graduates a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) degree.

Through its comprehensive theoretical, practical, and clinical programs, the Faculty aims to graduate highly skilled physicians capable of advancing both preventive and therapeutic healthcare within society.
