The Department of Medical Sciences is the first nucleus for establishing medical education affiliated with the Departmental University in Gharyan, which was established by Resolution No. (15) of 1999, after which Resolution No. (219) of 2000 was issued, after which Resolution No. (351) of 2003 was issued to become the College of Human Medicine, Aljabel Algharbi University. After that, Resolution No. (19) of 2017 was issued to become the College of Human Medicine / Gharyan University.

 The academic year 2006-2007 witnessed the graduation of the first batch of graduates, numbering 28 graduates.

 The College of Human Medicine awards its graduates with a bachelor's degree in medicine and surgery.

 The College of Human Medicine, through its educational programs (theoretical, practical, and clinical), aims to graduate highly skilled doctors to contribute to the advancement of the preventive and therapeutic level within society through its various health institutions.

 In its principles, the college relies on the use of the latest technology in the field of teaching, training and scientific research, by teaching modern and advanced curricula that keep pace with scientific progress in order to graduate doctors with international standards. For this reason, the college takes full care of its students from the time they join the college and during the academic stages until graduation and obtaining the academic degree. . This is under the supervision of elite members of the body

 The student receives basic theoretical and practical medical sciences within the curricula of the first, second and third academic years, and clinical medical sciences within the curricula of the fourth and fifth academic years.

 The college administration seeks, through its departments, to provide all the necessary capabilities for the success of the educational process, both theoretical and practical, in accordance with international requirements to reach international standards of quality and accreditation by international organizations.
