As part of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Gharyan’s commitment to developing its students’ scientific and research skills, the Department of Pharmacology organised a scientific seminar today under the supervision of Dr Fatima Ghaith.

Student Arwa Fadel Al-Basha delivered an outstanding presentation entitled:

Epinephrine and Norepinephrine: Pharmacology & Clinical Significance

In her presentation, delivered in a rigorous scientific manner, the student addressed the mechanism of action of these drugs, their physiological and pharmacological effects, and their clinical applications, whilst also focusing on the role of the baroreceptor reflex in regulating the cardiovascular response to them, and explaining how the body reacts to maintain blood pressure and cardiac balance.

The event featured outstanding academic engagement and a fruitful discussion amongst the students, reflecting a deep level of understanding, the ability to analyse and link theoretical information to clinical practice, as well as excellent presentation skills.
