As part of efforts to support scientific research and promote a culture of research, a workshop entitled ‘The Fundamentals of Scientific Research: From Study Design to Scientific Publication’ was held today, Tuesday 28 July 2026, at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Gharyan.

The workshop covered the fundamental principles of scientific research, study design, mechanisms for selecting scientific journals, and the basics of academic writing, as well as an introduction to systematic reviews and meta-analysis, alongside a discussion of best practices that help researchers prepare and publish high-quality scientific research.

The workshop saw a strong turnout from the faculty’s academic staff and students, alongside the participation of a number of academic staff from various faculties, providing a fruitful opportunity for open discussion, the exchange of ideas and experiences, and the answering of attendees’ queries.
