Yesterday, Sunday, August 29, 2021, Dr. Khamis Al-Mabrouk, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Gharyan University, attended the consultative meeting held by the Undersecretary for Scientific Research Affairs, "Dr. Saleh Hadiya", with the deans of the faculties of human medicine in various Libyan universities, in the presence of the Director General of the National Center for Quality Assurance, Dr. "Abdullah Abdul Jalil", to discuss a number of difficulties facing them. Among them are the mechanism of registration and admission of new students, how to benefit from teaching and university hospitals, and the importance of practical and clinical training. Not to mention discussing finding opportunities for Arab and regional cooperation with the corresponding colleges.

During the meeting, the Director General of the National Center for Quality Assurance stressed the need to apply quality standards in medical schools according to international standards, as a proactive step to obtain institutional accreditation to obtain international recognition (WFME).

At the end of the meeting, the meeting submitted a set of recommendations to His Excellency the Minister for consideration and taking the appropriate decision.
