Awareness campaign for early detection of breast cancer
As part of Pink October, the Amal and Aman Gharyan team for breast cancer awareness and early detection organised an awareness campaign at the Faculty of Medicine in Gharyan on the importance of early detection of breast cancer on Wednesday, 15 October 2025, in the faculty's conference hall. The campaign targeted female students, staff and professors at the faculty.
The campaign aimed to raise health awareness among women about the importance of self-examination and regular breast screening, and to identify risk factors and methods of prevention and early treatment.
The events included scientific and awareness lectures, as well as the distribution of awareness brochures and leaflets.
The organisers emphasised that early detection is the cornerstone of improving recovery rates and reducing complications, calling on all women to take the initiative to conduct self-examinations and regular check-ups.
Participants in the campaign expressed their gratitude to the Amal and Aman team and the supporters of this humanitarian initiative, which seeks to protect women's health and reduce the spread of the disease.
