Speech by the Dean of the Faculty on the occasion of the conclusion of mid-term examinations
My sons and daughters, students of the Faculty of Medicine in their first, second and third years,
Peace be upon you and God's mercy and blessings,
On the occasion of the completion of the mid-term exams, I am pleased to express my sincere appreciation to all of you for your efforts and discipline during this important stage of your academic career. These exams represented a true assessment of your academic achievement and your commitment to the correct scientific approach on which the study of medicine is based.
I would also like to express my thanks and appreciation to the faculty members, support staff, examination committees, and all administrative and technical staff for their organised work and clear efforts to ensure that the examinations were conducted in an academic atmosphere characterised by integrity and discipline.
The study of medicine, especially in its early years, requires seriousness and perseverance, and the building of a solid scientific foundation that enables students to continue to the advanced stages with efficiency and competence. Therefore, the results of these examinations should be used as a tool for self-evaluation, course correction, strengthening strengths, and addressing weaknesses.
I call on our students to take advantage of the coming period to review their performance and prepare seriously for the remainder of the academic year, with a spirit of responsibility and ambition, for a doctor is not only built scientifically, but also ethically and behaviourally from their early years.
May God guide you all to what is good, guide your steps, and we wish you continued success and prosperity.
Peace be upon you and God's mercy and blessings.
